Services

Eight capabilities, each with a clear deliverable.

Hire us for one piece, such as a protocol stack or a test rig, or for the full firmware of a new device. Either way you know upfront what lands in your repository.

01

Embedded software

Application logic, middleware and drivers written in C and C++ for devices with tight memory and power budgets.

You receive

  • Source code in your repository
  • Module-level design notes
  • Unit tests for core logic
02

MCU firmware design

Firmware architecture for bare-metal and RTOS targets: task layout, memory map, power states, bootloader and update strategy.

You receive

  • Architecture document
  • HAL and peripheral drivers
  • Memory and power budget
03

Device control programs

Control loops and state machines for motors, heaters, chargers, valves and sensors, with defined behavior for faults and brown-outs.

You receive

  • State machine diagrams
  • Tuned control parameters
  • Fault-injection test cases
04

Hardware–software integration

Board bring-up and peripheral validation alongside your hardware team. We find out early whether a problem is in the schematic or the code.

You receive

  • Bring-up checklist and report
  • Peripheral test firmware
  • Issue log shared with hardware
05

Communication protocols

Wireless and wired communication stacks, plus custom protocols between your device, gateways and apps.

You receive

  • Protocol specification
  • Stack integration
  • Conformance and stress tests
06

Embedded testing

Host-side unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) rigs, production flashing and end-of-line test tools, all run from CI.

You receive

  • Test suites and CI config
  • HIL rig scripts
  • Production test tool
07

OTA & field updates

Signed firmware images, A/B or swap-based updates with rollback, and a release process your team can operate.

You receive

  • Bootloader configuration (e.g. MCUboot)
  • Signing and release scripts
  • Rollback test results
08

Code takeover & migration

Audit and stabilize inherited firmware, or port it to a new MCU when a part goes end-of-life or supply dries up.

You receive

  • Written audit report
  • Stabilization plan
  • Ported and re-tested build

Typical technical scope

Common targets for our work. Other parts and stacks are fine; we confirm fit during discovery.

  • FreeRTOS
  • Zephyr
  • Embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot)

MCU families

  • ST STM32
  • Nordic nRF52 / nRF53
  • Espressif ESP32
  • NXP, TI, Microchip

Wireless

  • BLE
  • Wi-Fi
  • LoRaWAN
  • LTE-M / NB-IoT

Wired

  • CAN
  • Modbus RTU / TCP
  • RS-485, UART
  • SPI, I2C, USB

Engagement models

Reference pricing in US dollars. Your written proposal is the binding quote.

Discovery

From $2,500

fixed fee · 1–2 weeks

Requirements review, hardware check, architecture outline, risk list and a fixed quote for the build. Yours to keep even if you build elsewhere.

Fixed-price project

From $8,000

per project

A defined scope with milestones and acceptance tests. Best when requirements are clear after discovery.

Time & materials

$140 / hour

billed monthly

For takeovers, debugging and evolving scope. Weekly time reports and a capped monthly budget you set.

Maintenance

From $1,500

per month

Bug fixes, security updates, dependency upgrades and OTA releases for firmware already in the field.

From inquiry to handover

  1. Step 1

    Inquiry

You send the board, MCU, interfaces and timeline. We reply within two business days, under NDA if needed.

  2. Step 2

    Discovery

A short fixed-fee phase: we review requirements and hardware, outline the architecture and list risks.

  3. Step 3

    Proposal

A written scope, milestone plan, acceptance tests and fixed price or capped estimate.

  4. Step 4

    Build

Milestone-based development in your repository, with demo builds and test results at every milestone.

  5. Step 5

    Handover

Source, build scripts, tests, documentation and a walkthrough with your team. 30-day defect warranty.

Typical builds run 4–16 weeks depending on scope. Source code and IP transfer to you once related invoices are paid.

Quality and compliance commitments

Reviewed, versioned code

Every change goes through code review in version control. No firmware leaves our desk as an unversioned binary.

Test evidence with each milestone

Milestones are accepted against agreed tests, and the results are part of the delivery.

Security by design

Secure boot and signed updates where the hardware supports them, an SBOM for third-party code, and a plan for shipping security fixes.

Honest scope

We help you prepare for regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act, but we don't issue certificates. We don't take on certified medical, automotive or avionics development.

Start with discovery.

Tell us about the device and we'll propose a discovery scope and price.
